Antichrist (2009)
Written and directed
by Lars von Trier this film stars Willem Dafe and Charlottte
Gainsbourg. Following the accidental death of their child a husband
who works as a therapist tries to help his wife over come her grief.
This film is beyond
dark and contains images that are pretty much impossible to watch.
That being said this is a really interesting exploration of grief and
it is full of symbolic depth. There are some beautifully shot
sequences that contrast with the grim stuff leaving an usual horror
film that will stay with you.
