Jane Eyre (2011)
Based on the novel of
the same name this adaptation from director Cary Joji Fukunaga stars
Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender and Judi Dench. A young girl works
as a governess and falls in love with the master of the house.
This is a really great
adaptation that really captures a great atmosphere and uses some
amazing scenery for a backdrop. As someone who has not read the novel
I was pleasantly surprised by the plot which contains a number of
interesting themes that were well before their time and is more than
just a simple romance. There are some good performances from the cast
and all in all this is an adaptation well worth watching.
