Santoro, Juliette Binoche and Lou Diamond Philips. Thirty three
miners become trapped underground in a Chilean mine and the world
watches on as the government attempts to rescue them.
Taking a familiar news
item this disaster film provides a decent but shallow over view of
the events of the 2010 mining disaster. While the film is a fine
watch it never seems to be more than skin deep. The cast and crew do
a decent job but at times the script seems to fall back on familiar
genre cliches.
