Bekmambetov this film based on the novel of the same name stars
Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie and Mary Elizabeth
Winstead. The 16th President of the United States is
secretly also a vampire hunter and this is his story.
Using history and
vampires mashed together as a bases for the plot of this film leaves
us with a fairly fun story if not especially deep. There are a few
changes between the book and the film but these appear to be mostly
minor, the script was written by the novelist which probably helps.
Most of the action sequences are well directed, although they do rely
heavily on bullet time style effects.
