Wincer this film based on real events stars Brendan Gleeson, Stephen
Curry and Daniel MacPherson. On the eve of the biggest horse race in
Australia a Jockey's brother dies while riding a horse.
It seems that this
film largely sticks to what happened and does a good job of bringing
real life characters to the screen. The plot is largely as you would
expect but gives a good idea of how sport can intersect with the
larger public. As someone with no interest in horse racing I did find
some of the racing scenes hard to follow the action, it would have
helped if these were made in a more clear manner.
