Sorrentino this film stars Sean Penn, Frances McDormand and Judd
Hirsch. A reclusive former rock star living in Dublin travels to New
York to see his dying father.
This is a pretty
strange coming of age tale that takes a while to get going and
features several bizarre turns along the way. Once the film does get
going you can finally see where it's going but the first part is a
little on the long side. Sean Penn's character is as strange as
elements of the plot but is a really unusual performance for the
star.
