this documentary is written by and stars Louis Theroux. Denied access
to the Church of Scientology Theroux seeks to interact with it's
members by provoking them.
If you are expecting a
full and in depth look into the church of Scientology then this is
not the documentary for you as it's pretty impossible to make such a
film about so closed off of a subject. While this is a somewhat
enjoyable look at some of the tactics used by the church it is not
really new ground. I really like the style of Theroux's work as he
normally embeds himself within his subject matter but this departure,
which was forced on him, does not work as well in my opinion.
