War for the Planet of
the Apes (2017)

Reeves this sequel stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn and
Amiah Miller. Caeser and his apes face off against a single minded
military commander.
While the CGI is
outstanding in this film I found the plot to be less so, lurching
around and not having the thematic depth I hoped for. As a final film
in the reboot series it does tie things off nicely but needed a
clearer direction rather than trying to be an amalgamation of
inspirations. Enjoyable to watch none the less this is still a decent
film.
