Sax this film based on true events stars Halle Berry and Stellan
Skarsgard. In 1973 a stripper in Los Angeles suffers from undiagnosed
mental health problems.
There is scant
information on this film so it is hard to say how close it sticks to
the events it claims to be based on but what is for certain is that
it completely ignores the controversial nature of multiple
personality disorder in the psychiatric community. On the surface
level this is not necessarily a bad story but it is certainly very
conveniently worked out. Halle Berry does her best in the lead role
but the climatic revelation scene with switching between
personalities does not work very well.
