Fletcher this film based on the television show of the same name
stars writer Jennifer Saunders as well as Joanna Lumley, Julia
Sawalha and Jane Horrocks. Ageing PR guru Edina and her best friend
magazine editor Patsy may have accidentally killed Kate Moss.
Twenty years is a long
time to pick up after the television series but this film does a
fairly good job of capturing the feel of the show. Unfortunately the
plot relies a little too much on celebrity cameos and transphobic
humour to get by. Joanna Lumley is the best thing in the film but not
enough to carry it.
