The Temptation of Saint

Melies this is a short film based on tales of Anthony the Great. A
monk attempting to pray in a cave is beset by temptations.
Running at just over a
minute in length there is not time for a great amount of detail to
this film. The plot is simplistic and does not really have any depth.
Using his trademark panache for special effects Melies adds a few
nice touches but the jump cuts are pretty obvious.
