Border River (1954)
Directed by George Sherman this film stars Joel McCrea, Yvonne De Carlo and Pedro Armendariz. In the dying days of the US Civil War a Confederate officer goes south of the border to buy supplies with stolen gold.
I found it to be rather distasteful to have the protagonist be a Confederate officer who never has to face any moral scrutiny. Parts of the plot do not make much sense and are a bit offensive really. One of the less interesting b-movie westerns I have seen.
