Of Dogs and Penguins

Chilly Willy (1953)

Directed by Paul J. Smith this is a short cartoon. A dog is left guarding a ship at the South Pole when his master goes off adventuring but a penguin that dislikes the cold wants onboard.

This is a pretty simple cartoon with the usual slap stick comedy you might expect. The idea is well executed but is fairly unremarkable compared to the big animated names of the era. I enjoyed this film and there are more than a few chuckles to be had here.
