About Cherry (2012)

Elliott this film stars Ashley Hinshaw, James Franco, Dev Patel and
Heather Graham. An 18 year old girl runs away from home to San
Francisco with her best friend and starts working in porn.
Unlike a lot of films
on the same subject matter this film is fairly subtle in it's
treatment of the porn industry but that subtleness comes with having
little to say about the people involved or the nature of the
industry. What plot we are left with is a pretty standard coming of
age tale that offers not much new in that direction either. Dev Patel
puts on a slightly strange American accent but otherwise the film is
pretty well made if sadly underdeveloped in some areas.
