Marlowe (2022)
Directed by Neil Jordan this film based on the novel “The Black-Eyed Blonde” stars Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger and Jessica Lange. Philip Marlowe investigates the death of a man for a rich woman who was his lover.
As noir films go this one is nothing special, plenty of familiar elements with little new. The plot does drag out a bit and seems a little unnecessarily complicated towards the end. Nothing really sparkles here, not even Liam Neeson in the lead role.
