Strange but True (2019)

Athale this film based on the novel of the same names stars Margaret
Qualley, Amy Ryan, Greg Kinnear, Nick Robinson and Brian Cox. A young
woman goes to tell her boyfriends family she believes she is pregnant
with his child five years after he died on prom night.
Unfortunately this
thriller sign posts its inevitable conclusion way up front and tries
to paper over the cracks with some weird moral that never deals with
the events at hand. To be honest I was a bit weirded out by the happy
conclusion to what is clearly a grim turn of events. Not one for the
ages in either content or execution.
