Tarzan and the Valley
of Gold (1966)
Directed by Robert Day
this film stars Mike Henry, David Opatoshu, Manuel Padilla, Jr. and
Nancy Kovack. Now living in the city Tarzan is recruited to stop a
villain taking gold from a remote tribe in central America.
This film is an odd
mix of James Bond style plot mixed with a transplanted Tarzan who has
little to do with the literary character. Mostly the story just about
hangs together but certainly this is just a cash in on a name and
film style. There is a lot of stock footage used and at times it's
clear this film was made on the cheap.
