Eddie the Eagle (2016)

Fletcher this film based on real events stars Taron Egerton and Hugh
Jackman. Dreaming of being an Olympian a man takes up ski jumping as
there is no competition for qualification on a national level.
Facts go out the
window in favour of a simplistic and overly sentimental piece of
cheese. The story of Eddie the Eagle and what he had to go through to
get into the Olympics is a really fascinating one but sadly little of
it ends up on the screen here. There maybe be something of a decent
message to the film but ultimately this is a disappointing execution.
