Shocking

Electric Current (1906)

Directed by Segundo de Chomon this silent era short film stars unknown performers. A couple regularly steal from a shop so the shop keeper electrifies the shop.

There is not a huge amount to this film but the simple narrative is easy to understand. I am not sure having the shop keeper's plan back fires on him carries any deeper commentary but for a bit of slapstick this is fairly funny. Compared to other films but the same director this is not nearly as fantastical but not a bad watch.
