Better Living Through
Chemistry (2014)
Written & directed
by David Posamentier & Geoff Moore this film stars Sam Rockwell,
Olivia Wilde and Michelle Monaghan. A downtrodden pharmacist finally
snaps and begins a drug fuelled affair with a local trophy wife.
There are a lot of
places this film could go but unfortunately the script never seems to
have fully realised the characters so their actions are never
convincing. What we are left with was a bit of a disappointment as
there is some potential for a Breaking Bad lite style story here. At
times it seemed like both Sam Rockwell and Olivia Wilde were miscast
as well.
