From Up on Poppy Hill

Miyazaki this film based on the comic of the same name has voice
acting from Masami Nagasawa, Junichi Okada and Keiko Takeshita. Japan
1963, a high school girl meets a boy and decides to help him clean up
the school club house to save it from demolition.
This is a fairly
simple teen romance film that follows a familiar romantic story
pattern. As with most Studio Ghibli films the story is well told but
in this instance is not especially remarkable. The animation is good
and the film seems to feature the Studio Ghibli trademark of an
extended cleaning sequence.
