La Strada (1954)

Fellini this film stars Anthony Quinn, Giulietta Masina and Richard
Basehart. A young woman is sold by her mother to be an assistant for
a travelling strongman.
The plot of this film
is a fairly simple but well told story of redemption. While the film
may not be as fantastical as some of Fellini's other films it is
filled with charm and the story has a great level of emotion to it.
Clearly the best thing about this film is Giulietta Masina's
excellent performance, she was perfectly cast in the role but the
dubbing of Anthony Quinn is slightly off putting.
