Miller this film stars Mel Gibson, Joanne Samuel and Hugh
Keays-Byrne. In the near future law and order is breaking down in
Australia as Police take on biker gangs.
The plot of this film
fits into a pretty standard heroes journey which does not really pull
any surprises. Thematically there are some attempts to consider if
people still need heroes and to what extent the hero must resort to
the methods of the evil he is fighting. Obviously this film was made
on a low budget and the dystopian setting does not always show
through but otherwise the film is pretty well made.
