Upstream Color (2013)
Written, directed by
and staring Shane Carruth this film also features Amy Seimetz and
Andrew Sensenig. A woman is drugged and robbed by a small time thief
which is only the beginning of strange goings on.
Much like Carruth's
first film, Primer (2004), this film is highly confusing at times
while being a fascinating watch. The plot is a real head scratcher
that I am still not sure I have figured out but hints at several
thematic layers. One of the best things about the film is it's use of
sound that is well worth watching the film for if nothing else.
