Shepherd and Harvey Keitel. A lonely veteran in New York struggles to
find companionship in a world that disgusts him.
There is much to like
about this film straight from the slow burning nature of the story to
some of the great cinematography. We get a glimpse of a really dirty,
gritty and more realistic world that a lot of Hollywood had portrayed
up to that point. When it comes to the plot the story works really
well and the subtle nature of the ending makes a really enjoyable
change.
