Cleanskin (2012)
Written and Directed
by Hadi Hajaig this film stars Sean Bean, Charlotte Rampling, Abhin
Galeya and Tom Burke. British born Muslim terrorists are hunted by
two black ops agents trying to stop their suicide bombing campaign.
I think this film
suffers from a bit of an identity crisis, not being sure if it wants
to be a serious look into why people turn to terrorism (which I am
not sure it does very realistically) or be a slightly less serious
thriller. My problem with the plot is that towards the end it takes
the clichéd “inside job to restrict our rights” which pretty
much undermines any attempts at credibility the plot had. If you can
turn off your brain this is not to bad of a thriller but the script
could have done with a few more drafts.
