Cameramen at War (1943)
Directed by Len Lye
this is a short documentary. We see various war time cameramen who
capture the front lines for news reels of the day.
It is an interesting
perspective to see the men behind the news reel footage, the faces we
rarely think of who are taking the same risks as those in front of
the camera. Obviously this film is assembled as propaganda but it is
still a good watch. There is a slightly stilted nature to the
narration but that is a product of the period.
