The Dwarf and the Giant (1901)

Directed by Georges Melies this is an early short film which stars two copies of its director. A man both grows and shrinks himself.

A simple camera trick to show the same man at two different sizes. There is some Melies showmanship here but not quite enough to carry the simple idea. A bit basic for Melies in my opinion.
