Emily (2022)
Written & directed by Frances O'Connor this film inspired by real events stars Emma mackey, Fionn Whitehead and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. On her death bed Emily Bronte is asked by her sister Charlotte how she came to write Wuthering Heights.
Unfortunately this film is much more interested in a fictional romance than writing of great works. While the film is nicely shot and decently acted it is undercut by a script that never gave me what I wanted. Once again Anne Bronte unfairly gets dismissed as a footnote as well.
