Last Orders (2001)

Directed by Fred Schepisi this film based on the novel of the same name stars Micahel Caine, Bob Hoskins, Helen Mirren and Ray Winstone. Following the death of a local at a pub his three drinking friends and son take his ashes to be scattered.

Predictable and a bit sentimental in places this is still an enjoyable exploration of the intertwined lives of a group of people. The way the story unfolds through flashbacks is pretty well constructed and poignant at times. Obviously the main draw here is the fantastic cast, so much talent in one film.
