Blacksmith Scene (1893)
Directed by William K. L. Dickson this short film stars Charles Kayeser and John Ott. Three men work at a blacksmiths then take a beer break.
Very simple this is possibly the earliest staged film. There is not a lot to this short but there is a version that was colourised much later that is fascinating to see. Certainly there is some skill to the hammering on show.
