Darkest Hour (2017)

this film based on historical events stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott
Thomas and Lily James. As Winston Churchill becomes prime minister of
the United Kingdom in the early days of WW2 the situation is dire.
Historical accuracy is
unfortunately left by the wayside as this script descends
increasingly into masturbatory territory. An accurate film on this
subject matter would have been fascinating but it is far too late in
the day for this propaganda effort. Gary Oldman is decent in the
title role but that is little to redeem this film.
