Menashe (2017)

Weinstein this film stars Menashe Lustig, Ruben Niborski, Yoel
Weisshaus and Meyer Schwartz. A widowed Hasidic Jew living in New
York struggles with the demands of life and his religion.
Providing a look into
an unfamiliar culture this is a pretty human story of a father trying
to do the best he can to provide for his child after the death of his
wife. The conclusion of the film is a little obvious and heavy handed
but otherwise this is a decent watch. Well made and dripping with
authenticity this film leaves me interested to see what is next from
its makers.
