Griffith this sequel stars Wilfred Lucas, Claire McDowell and Gladys
Egan. Former slave helps raise his master's daughter following his
death fighting for the Confederates in the US Civil war.
Taking what tiny shred
of decency this series has it gets thrown away by showing the former
slave as a thief after all. Stupid and racist it's hard for me to see
why this short has any redeeming features. Prints of this film my be
preserved for historical reason but the only historical value I see
here is yet another example of Griffith being racist.
