Merrill's Marauders

Fuller this film based on real events stars Jeff Chandler, Ty Hardin
and Andrew Duggan. We follow General Merrill and the 3000 soldiers
that marched with him into Burma to attack behind Japanese lines in
1944.
Unfortunately this is
a very surface level account of the horrible conditions and heroics
of 5307th Composite Unit in WW2. Historical accuracy is not
always paramount to the film makers and the script itself is of the
quality of a television effort. The battle scenes mainly seem to be
just wave after wave of Japanese soldiers falling down which is not
that realistic either.
