Porter this short film was made for the Edison Manufacturing company.
A sleeping fireman dreams of a woman and child in danger shortly
before the fire house alarm goes off.
Clearly taking
inspiration from the earlier British film Fire! (1901) this is a
simple narrative of firemen performing a rescue. While the plot is
simple the story is easy to follow and the action pretty
entertaining. Some of the editing is really impressive for the time
but there are questions over if the film was re-edited at a later
date to it's present form.
