Vampire (1994)

Jordan this film based on the novel of the same name stars Tom
Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas. Following the
death of his wife in child birth in 1791 the owner of a plantation is
given immortality by a vampire.
Exploring the world of
vampires and immortality what we get is a fairly decent film that
often threatens to be something more but never quite gets there. The
world is dripping with sexuality, ideas of good and evil as well as
addiction but fails to give a full exploration of them. Lots of the
film is really well directed and it is excellently cast.
