this film based on the novel of the same name stars it's director,
Viggo Mortensen, Renee Zellweger, Jeremy Irons and Lance Henriksen.
Two tough law men are hired by a town to take on a local rancher.
Nearly everything
about this film is in the tradition of a classic western including
the plot which is a fairly standard tale. Despite being steeped in
the westerns of the 1950s the story never really goes beyond it's
basic genre conventions. Mostly the film is well made although Renee
Zellweger is a bit hit and miss at times.
