Son of a Gun (2014)

by Julius Avery this film stars Benton Thwaites, Ewan McGregor and
Alicia Vikander. A 19 year old is sent to prison for 6 months in
Australia and falls in with the company of a well known armed robber.
While there is not a
lot that is original about this tale of criminals, paranoia and
double crossing this is a well made film. The action sequences are
tense and the characters work well holding the film together. I
enjoyed the directing and the performances, this is a really solid
genre entry.
