She Done Him Wrong
(1933)
Directed by Lowell
Sherman & James Dugan this film based on a play by star Mae West
also features Cary Grant and Owen Moore. A bar room singer has
herself caught up in a criminal world as she seeks to twist all the
men in her life to her own desires.
This is a much more
playful rather than serious film and is filled with double entendres.
Such as it is the plot is not really that impressive but it is the
dialogue which is the most interesting part of the film. Some of the
acting is a bit wooden which is a mix of early acting styles and
people hamming it up a little.
