Ponyo (2008)
Written and directed
by Hayao Miyazaki this film has English voice acting from Frankie
Jonas, Noah Cyrus, Tina fey and Liam Neeson. Boy meets magic fish,
fish decides to become a girl and upsets the balance of nature.
This is a heart
warming tale that falls somewhere between The Little Mermaid and a
hint of Pinocchio. While the story is not overly complicated it has a
real child like beauty to it and the story of a fish wanting to
become a girl keeps your attention the whole way through. As with any
Studio Ghibli film the animation is top notch , meeting the standard
you expect from them.
