A Man Called Otto (2022)
Directed by Marc Forster this remake stars Tom Hanks, Mariana Trevino and Rachel Keller. After being retired a widower tries unsuccessfully to kill himself.
I found this film to be overly sentimental and Oscar-bait-y. The plot takes the well worn route of reminding us that a man is only worth while if he does things for other people. It may be heresy to say this but I am not even sure Tom Hanks is right for the lead role, he seems to be doing an impression rather than acting.
