Voltige (1896)
Directed by Louis Lumiere this is an early short film. Men jump onto and off a horse.
Say what you will about Hollywood, at least they wait more than a year before remaking a film unlike Lumiere. Despite being a remake of a film made the previous year this is still a pretty fun short. There is plenty of action and even some comedy due to mistakes by the performers.
