Ministry of Fear (1944)
Directed by Fritz Lang this film based on the novel of the same name stars Ray Milland and Marjorie Reynolds. A man gets caught up in a Nazi spy ring during WW2.
When you have Fritz Land and Graham Greene both connected with the same film you have fairly high expectations which unfortunately this film fails to live up to. This is a very average thriller that is not much different from a number of others from the period. There are even a few rather abrupt moments where it is obvious that material from the novel has been skipped to shorten the run time of the film.
