Fear and Loathing in Aspen (2021)
Directed by Bobby Kennedy III this film based on real events stars Jay Bulger, Cherly Hines and Amaryllis Fox. Annoyed with the state of local government Hunter S. Thompson runs for sheriff in Aspen.
Mostly this film is trading on the legend of Hunter S. Thompson, it is not really that gonzo or insightful on its own. As small town politics films go this one is decent enough but unremarkable generally. A short run time hints at the lack of real content.
