The Days Before
Christmas (1958)
Directed by a trio of
Stanley Jackson, Wolf Koenig and Terence Macartney-Filgate this is a
short documentary. We see the build up to Christmas in Montreal.
Pretty much what you
would expect this film is interesting as a historical record but in
portions feels very much like someone's home video. There is not a
real narrative to the piece or much of a question posed by the film
makers. Entertaining but a little disposable.
