In the Heart of the Sea

this film based on real events stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin
Walker, Cillian Murphy and Tom Holland. Author Herman Melville
interviews the last living survivor of a whaling ship to get material
for his novel Moby Dick.
Whilst this film does
a good job of capturing the era in which it's story is set the grand
visuals never have a script that match their scope. The plot never
really connects on a human or thematic level always seeming to be
slightly at arms length from the audience. Some of the CGI use is a
little heavy handed for my taste but in general this film is well
made.
