They Who Dare (1954)
Directed by Lewis Milestone this World War 2 film stars Dirk Bogarde, Harold Siddons and Denholm Elliot. A mixed group of British and Greek commandos attempt to blow up two Axis airfields on an occupied Greek island.
What sticks out straight away about this film is that the sound quality is pretty terrible, it does not affect the dialogue but any music appears to be completely butchered. Based on real events the plot unfolds rather slowly with not much tension or drive. The performances of the cast are not bad but between the sound problems and the weak script there is not much to enjoy here.
