Force Majeure (2014)

by Ruben Ostlund this film stars Johannes Bah Kuhnke, Lisa Loven
Kongsli, Kristofer Hivju and Fanni Metelius. A father runs off scared
leaving his family behind when they experience a close call with an
avalanche on a ski holiday.
Taking a slightly
comedic look at gender roles and expectations this is a fairly good
film but I am not sure it lives up to the reputation it has. While I
enjoyed the film I was expecting a little bit more as so much praise
has been lavished on the film. The performances are decent as our the
underlying themes but I am not sure the film explores them in enough
depth.
