Ferdinand the Bull
(1938)
Directed by Dick
Rickard this film based on the story by Munro Leaf is narrated by Don
Wilson. Finding himself to be of a more gentle disposition than his
peers a bull looks for a peaceful life.
Taking a simple story
this is a decent adaptation from Walt Disney. Winning the Oscar for
best animated short clearly this was one of the best films of it's
period but I would not say it is overly remarkable. Both the
animation and story are good but maybe a few more jokes would have
helped.
